Megan Koscinski, MS, RD
There are plenty of ways to make protein shake recipes so that things don’t get boring when you are on a full-liquid diet. Support protein intake while also giving your taste buds a refreshing treat after bariatric surgery with this gluten-free, lactose-free protein drink.*
Our Peachy Clean Protein Shake recipe offers unique flavors for your palate plus beneficial ingredients, like high-quality protein, fiber, and vitamins and minerals that you might be lacking in your diet after bariatric surgery.*
No need for any added sweeteners in this bariatric recipe, the berries and peaches offer a burst of fruity flavor that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Not only does this high-protein drink support your daily protein intake goals, but it is a nutrient-dense option. Avocado is a good source of B vitamins, and vitamins C, E, and K while also providing high levels of beneficial fats that can make you feel satiated longer.*
Recipe Tip: Feel free to use fresh or frozen fruit in this high-protein meal replacement recipe. If you like your bariatric protein drink a thicker consistency, frozen fruit and the addition of ice cubes will do the trick.
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
2 scoops Bariatric Fusion Vanilla High Protein Meal Replacement
⅓ cup frozen blueberries
⅓ cup frozen peach slices
¼ cup avocado
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Process until rich and creamy, then serve cold and enjoy!
Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container. To re-serve, add ice, re-blend, and consume within 24 hours.
Our Bariatric Protein Powders are formulated for those who have undergone ASMBS-endorsed procedures, including Sleeve Gastrectomy, Gastric Bypass, Lap Band, and Intra-Gastric Balloon. They can also be enjoyed by individuals who have not had metabolic and bariatric surgery and are a great way to get more high-quality protein in your diet.*
