This dietitian-approved strawberry banana chia pudding is the perfect addition to your post-op bariatric diet! You’ll get a healthy dose of protein, fiber, and omega-3s in each creamy bite.
You can use protein powder for more than protein shakes, and this bariatric recipe proves it. It mixes high-protein meal replacement powder with creamy Greek yogurt to support your unique high-protein intake needs after metabolic and bariatric surgery.*
Dietary fiber is another essential nutrient post-surgery to support digestive comfort and bowel regularity. Your digestive system will thank you for adding chia seeds to your post-op bariatric meal plan, which are packed with dietary fiber and omega-3 fatty acids.
This chia pudding is a great recipe to meal prep for portion control—simply double (or triple!) the recipe and portion it into single-serving containers for the week.
Recipe Tip: We topped this bariatric recipe with mashed banana, but you can also use mango puree for a tropical burst of flavor.
