Vanilla and berries are a match made in heaven this Valentine’s Day! There’s no better way to start your day than with this tasty high-protein meal replacement breakfast smoothie. This bariatric protein shake recipe combines a scoop of vanilla and strawberry whey protein powder to provide a fusion of flavors and an easy way to support daily protein intake after metabolic and bariatric surgery.*
Plain Greek yogurt serves as a creamy base while adding a few extra grams of protein, and a mix of fresh blueberries and raspberries add a colorful touch. Top off this lovely protein drink with hemp hearts for a healthy dose of omega-3 fatty acids that can help support healthy brain function, immune response, and heart health.*
1 cup unsweetened vanilla almond milk
⅓ cup plain Greek yogurt
1 scoop Bariatric Fusion Vanilla High Protein Meal Replacement
1 scoop Bariatric Fusion Strawberry High Protein Meal Replacement
¼ cup blueberries
¼ cup raspberries
1 tbsp hemp hearts
Combine all ingredients in a blender. Process until rich and creamy, then serve cold and enjoy!
Store leftovers in the refrigerator in an airtight container. To re-serve, add ice, re-blend, and consume within 24 hours.
